22 Oct Octogenarian Birthday Card
I recently had the pleasure of making two Birthday cards for folks I love dearly, my Dad who will turn 87years old this month and the other for my Great Aunt turning 93 years old. Today I will share with you the card I made for my Dad. I’ll share my Aunt’s card later this week.
For my Dad’s card I wanted to use pictures of him throughout his life from a little boy to the present. I decided to use a W-V Fancy Fold Card base to highlight these pictures but made adjustments for the size I needed. The card base is 7″ x 12″ scored at 2″, 4″, 6″, and 8″. The V-Panel of the card measures 8″ x 3″. Happy Birthday on the V-Panel front was made using the Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Brush Script Die. The number 87 on the inside back card panel was made using My Favorite Things Outline Dies and their Solid Numbers Dies. The papers used were Crystal, Stardream Metallic 105lb Cover cardstock for the card base then, Black Glossy cardstock, Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler, and the Gold sheet from the DCWV Glitzy paper pack.
The sentiment on the back of the V-Panel was the bible verse, Psalm 91:16, which I printed on my laser printer and foiled with black foil. I am so happy with the way it turned out and I hope he likes it.
Next time, I’ll share the card I made for my Great Aunt who turned 93 years old this month. Until then,
Stamp Yourself Happy!
