23 Feb Daisy Thanks Easel Card
It seems like I make more “Thank You” cards than any other type. So much so I was starting to get basic with their design so this time I aimed for something different. I wanted a Thank You card with a detailed focal image that I could use on an easel card.
I decided to use the Daisy (3/4 View) Close Up stamp from The Ton. It is a large stamp and required a lot of coloring to try and make it look dimensional but I like the end result. I used Copic Markers to color the entire image as well as the background. To add Bling, I sprayed it with Iridescent Glitter Dust and then used Yellow and Copper Stickles on the flower’s center.
Once I had the image colored, I stamped it again using my MISTI with Onyx Black , VersaFine ink and embossed it with Judikins – Clear Detail embossing powder. I decided to use the raised word technique on the card front. I used the Simon Says Stamp, Bold Thanks diecut in the lower right of the image. Then I diecut the word five additional times and adhered them together using Gina K, Connect Glue with the card front layer on top.
I used Bronze, Stardream Metallic 81-lb text cardstock to mat the image and then adhered it to the 6×6 easel card base made using Crystal , Stardream Metallic 105lb cover card stock.
For the sentiment on the card front, I used the “For Your Kindness” stamp from the Mini Messages 6X6 Stamp Set by Honeybee Stamps. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Bronze , Stardream metallic 81-lb card stock with VersaMark Watermark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. Next, I used the Mini Message Stamp se matching diecut to cut out the sentiment and adhered it below the raised word, Thanks.
To create the easel card stopper panel, I used Bronze, Stardream Metallic 105-lb cover cardstock. I made a frame for my sentiment by cutting the cardstock into a rectangle and punching each corner with the No. 3 Corner Groovi Punch. Next, I stamped the Endless Creations Stamps, thank you sentiment in Onyx Black, Versafine ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder and matted it on Fairway, Stardream Metallic text weight cardstock. I assembled the stopper panel adhering the layers and then mounted it to the card base using foam dimensional dots. Below are the pictures of the most detailed Thank You card I’ve ever made.
That’s it for today. Until next time,
Stamp Yourself Happy!
