09 Dec Poppies Background
I liked the Simon Says Stamp, Poppies Background Stamp so much I decided to use it again but color it differently this time. Turns out that this stamp is very versatile, and I like it a lot.
This time I stamped the Simon Says Stamp, Poppies Background Stamp with Memento, Black Tuxedo ink on to Spectrum Noir, 100lb cover cardstock. Let me add here that it absolutely matters what paper you use not only for Copic Markers but also to get a good impression using the Memento ink. I left the stamp in place in my MISTI so I could stamp it again when finished coloring the image to emboss it.
This time, I colored the light red poppies using Copic Sketch markers R12/R22/R24 and the yellow poppies using Y32/R02/E93. The centers were colored with E79, and the stems using YG03/YG25/G28. The background was colored using two coats of Copic Marker B02. Next, I stamped it a second time using VersaFine, Black Onyx ink and embossed it using Mystic Fire embossing powder.
I sprayed the colored image with Iridescent Glitter Dust because you can never have too much Bling. Then I mounted it on Black cardstock and adhered it to the front of a 6X6 Card made with Crystal, Stardream Metallic 105lb cardstock.
Below are a series of pictures of this card and a close up trying to capture the sparkle but the photo doesn’t do it justice.
That’s it for now. Until next time,
Stamp Yourself Happy!
