23 Oct 93yo Birthday Card
Happy 93rd Birthday to my Great Aunt Ruth!
I wanted to make her a special birthday card this year, so armed with her age and her favorite color green, I designed today’s card. I struggled between making a fun and funny card because that is her personality and an elegant card indicative of her age, and I went with the latter.
I decided to make a 6″ X 6″ Easel Card and used, my favorite, Crystal – Stardream Metallic 105lb cover cardstock for the card base. I used Fairway – Stardream Metallic 81lb cardstock for the card front. Using the Joanna Sheen die-cut, Clarissa Lace Border, I die-cut the Fairway cardstock on one side. I layered that on top of a piece of Stampin Up – Pretty In Pink cardstock that I first sprayed with Iridescent Glitter Dust. I used the bible verse, Proverbs 16:31, for the outside sentiment which I printed onto a piece of Crystal – Stardream Metallic cardstock and then diecut using the Spellbinders – Labels Twenty-five set. I used foam dimensionals to attach the outside sentiment to the card front. To create the “93” on the card front I used My Favorite Things – Outline Numbers diecuts as well as their Solid Numbers diecuts and White glitter paper from the DCWV Glitzy paper pack. I also put a bow, made with pink satin ribbon, and the Bow Easy on the card front.
The inside card was made with the Judikins – script Happy Birthday stamp, stamped onto Stampin Up – Pretty In Pink cardstock and diecut using the Frantic Stamper – Elemental #11 Bracket Coved Label diecut and then adhered with foam dimensionals. The final card pictures are below but aren’t as vibrant as the actual card:
Until Next Time,
Stamp Yourself Happy!
